ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS

This series presents the interplay between objects, spaces, and eras. It shows icons of furniture design created by architects, all placed within selected locations in Berlin.

VOIDS IN BERLIN ( daniel libeskind )

Daniel Libeskind s VOIDS in the Jewish Museum Berlin expresses the emptiness and loss created through the extermination of the Jews. The incomprehensibility of the holocaust is also sculpturally mirrored by these spaces. The photographs were taken at the end of 1997 and the beginning of 1999.

ROSES IN SARAJEVO

The scars left behind by mortal shells fired at Sarajevo between 1992-1995 are called ROSES. These were filled in with red plastic wherever large numbers of people were killed. The photographs were taken at the end of March, 1999.
